SAPD Swears In Lateral Officer, Reserve Officer, and 2 VIPS Members

 

SAN ANGELO, TEXAS -- Earlier this week, Police Chief Frank Carter swore in one lateral Officer, one reserve Officer, and two new Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS) members during a private ceremony at Police Headquarters.

Tyler Bohannon, a certified Peace Officer, will be joining the Department’s Patrol Division.  Tyler previously served as a Police Officer with the Wichita Falls Police Department.

Recent SAPD retiree Alfred Rios was sworn in as a Reserve Police Officer.  Rios will play an active role in the Department’s Honor Guard.  

Ron Juhl and Stephen Capers  were also sworn in as members of the Department’s VIPS program; which provides citizens with an opportunity to support the efforts of the Department’s sworn and civilian personnel with a variety of tasks.
