First Responders, Military Honored in Downtown San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX — A gathering of about 100 people gathered near the intersection of S. Oakes St. and E. Concho Ave. Thursday to commemorate first responders, military and veterans.

 

The ceremony was emceed by Downtown San Angelo, Inc. Executive Director Del Velasquez. May Dwain Morrison, Fire Chief Brian Dunn, BG-Select Michael Downs, and Operation Blue Shield’s local coordinator Pam Robinson spoke. The 20-minute ceremony ended with a prayer for the community by Pastor Theodore Boone of the Ministerial Alliance.
