Fort Concho Debuts Museum Days

 

 SAN ANGELO, TX – AS Fort Concho continues to celebrate their 150th anniversary they will be hosting Museum Days that will offer special tours, children’s activities and living history demonstrations. The first Museum Day will be going on this Saturday, March 18th.

Visitors to the fort will be able to visit the new exhibit, “What’s Old is New,” which features the new artifacts the fort has acquired. The exhibit will be modified as new items are brought in. Members of the fort will be able to attend the special days for free and non-members will only be charged half priced admission.

A new Junior Recruit program will also be launching this spring. This new program will feature a booklet designed to tach kids form ages 5 to 12 about the fort’s history. Once kids have completed the required activities they will be able to become a Fort Concho Junior Recruit.
