Driver Fails Sobriety Test in Auto Crash on Loop 306 Near Lowe's

A white 2012 F-150 was traveling eastbound on Loop 306 from Lowe's toward Knickerbocker when he struck the guard rail on the inside lane and spun 180 degrees into the inside median.

The driver of the vehicle is not injured, and first responders initially thought he might be diabetic due to his "loopy" behavior, but was given a clean bill of health by the medics on scene. He is now being given a field sobriety test.

The San Angelo Police Department and Medic 7 are on scene, and the inside eastbound lane from Lowe's to Southwest is blocked.

Update 7:12 p.m.

The occupant of the vehicle failed the field sobriety test and has been put in handcuffs. First responders believe he may be under the influence of something other than alcohol

OMG ! That tells me that the medical people need to be really looked at or the police do.who's right here?
OMG!....Sarge, maybe YOU are the one who needs to be checked. .....I mean if you think that reading a news report give you the entitlement to assume you know more than TRAINED PROFESSIONALS then you are definitely off your rocker and you need a medical evaluation for sure
I'm surprised they were thinking diabetic to start with. Maybe no smell of alcohol? Just loopy drugs that make you drive off the road. Thank goodness no one was injured this time but a judge will just slap him on the hand.
