Area Students Put Hard Work on Display at Ag Mechanics

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Future Farmer's of America and 4H clubs from across the state put their hard work on display at the Ag Mechanics show to kick off the second week of the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo.

The projects were moved in on Sunday, Feb. 3, shown on Monday and judged on Tuesday.

Bell County 4H won Champion of Show with their forged double portal gate. Priddy FFA's 22-foot rollback trailer was awarded Reserve Champion of Show.

Out of local Concho Valley programs, Mason FFA had the best day. They placed third in hydraulic equipment with their hydraulic hay spear. Sterling City took home second with their skid stear/brush rake.

Mason placed third in other outdoor cooking with their Rocket Heater.

Mason also placed second in the class of other yard and garden equipment with their compost bin.

Sonora FFA placed in two classes. They took home first in individual large indoor furniture for their hall tree. They also placed third in small indoor furniture and furnishings with their coffee table.

Wall FFA's 20-foot utility trailer placed third in large utility trailers behind Aquilla FFA and Priddy.

Robert Lee FFA placed first in all other wildlife equipment with their deer blind.

Water Valley FFA put together a gate which placed third in gate, livestock panels and cattle guard 14-foot and under.

Grape Creek placed third with their 6-foot goat feeder.
