Senator Cruz Visits Goodfellow AFB and Meets With Veterans in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The contrast between the two men running for United States Junior Senator from Texas couldn't be more evident than it was at the Heights Baptist Church Wednesday night.

Senator Ted Cruz met with military veterans in a church sanctuary and sat looking them in the eye answering their questions about veteran's health care and the stories of how the system has let them down.

The Senator's Democratic opponent has been in San Angelo four times.  Last week, Beto O'Rourke skipped the largest summit on energy in West Texas where dozens of lawmakers were in attendance to hold a dancing and drinking campaign stop in San Angelo.

Cruz's carefully planned visit was orchestrated by the Concerned Veterans of America.

The Senator discussed issues facing veterans and listened to their concerns about health care and the difficulties many veterans face today getting health care.

Senator Cruz's visit was important for many reasons and we'll go through all of those beginning Thursday.

Rafael had good ideas during the energy Summit........oh wait, he skipped it too. O'Rourke mingled and answered questions at every stop in San Angelo and the rest of the 254 stops IN EVERY TEXAS COUNTY.

This is the fake news trump talks about. Rafael and his rare stop to Goodfellow is a good photo op, and it serves it's purpose. But he is the reason vets like me have a hard time at the VA. His inability to compromise has failed everyone of us. It is time for change.

It's "Concerned Veterans for America", not "of " America? Isn't that the same group that is associated with the Koch brothers that pretends to care about Veterans, when actually they are just a politically biased group set on slashing the budgets of gov't services such as the VA? Even in a church sanctuary, Ted can look you in the eye and lie! Remember, this is a guy that chose not to get too involved in getting relief funds for Texas victims of hurricane Harvey because of political backlash, but let U.S. Sen. John Cornyn do all the work. Yep, he's all for Team Ted, not Texas. Send him back to his birthplace, Canada.
