The Dog Days of Summer – Heat Advisory for Wednesday and Thursday
SAN ANGELO, TX – The National Weather Service office in San Angelo has issued a heat advisory for the Concho Valley from noon Wednesday through 7 p.m. Thursday.
Dangerously hot conditions will occur with afternoon temperatures of 103 to 105 degrees.
Very hot temperatures will significantly increase the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.
A Heat Advisory means that hot weather conditions are occurring or expected. This will create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening.
Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when possible.
Never, ever, leave children or pets alone in enclosed vehicles, not even for a few minutes.
