SAN ANGELO, TX – The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued an Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for  western Schleicher County in west central Texas south central Tom Green County in west central Texas and Irion County in west central Texas until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

At 10:26 a.m.doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen since last night, with portions of Irion County receiving over 2 inches of rainfall. An additional one half to one inch, with localized higher amounts, will be possible.  Some locations that will experience flooding include Eldorado, Mertzon, Arden, Barnhart, Sherwood, the Intersection of Ranch Road 1828 and Ranch Road 915 and The Intersection of US-190 And Ranch Road 1828. This includes the following low water crossings: RM 853 crossing Dry Draw, Ranch Road 859 crossing west Rocky Creek, Ranch Road 853 crossing Middle Concho River, Sherwood Cemetery crossing, crossings along County Road 411,  County Road 202 crossing Lopez Creek, County Road 202 crossing Spring Creek and County Road 113 crossing Dove Creek. Do not drive through these low water crossings or any other low water crossing with water flowing across the roadway. Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads.
