Rain Chances Linger Through Tueday Evening Across West Central Texas

Updated 6/9/2018.  Another round of isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms is possible early on Tuesday across the Concho Valley as another weak shortwave traverses the region in the easterly flow aloft. Locally heavy rainfall will again be the main threat with these storms, with the moisture rich airmass remaining in place. Otherwise, expect lows tonight in the lower 70s, with highs tomorrow in the lower 90s.

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Some minor street flooding is occurring across San Angelo Monday evening as scattered showers and thunderstorms dump some much needed rain on the area. 

According to the National Weather Service, scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue across much of West Central Texas through 615 p.m. Heavy rainfall, brief gusty winds and dangerous lightning will be possible with the stronger storms. Hourly rainfall totals will generally remain below three quarters of an inch, with isolated higher amounts over one inch possible.

Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible on Tuesday. The main hazards will be dangerous lightning with the storms, and minor flooding due to locally heavy rainfall.

There is a 50 percent chance of rain this evening and a 40 percent chance overnight with chances dropping to 30 percent for Tuesday.
