Coronavirus: Patient with COVID-19 is at Shannon Medical Center

SAN ANGELO, TX – The patient who has a confirmed case of Coronavirus is being treated at Shannon Medical Center.

According to information from Shannon, Today we can confirm that a patient at Shannon Medical Center has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19). The male patient is in his seventies is currently an inpatient at Shannon. Our clinical team is doing an excellent job ensuring he is receiving the highest quality care – while keeping our staff, providers and other patients safe – in accordance with the procedures and protocols established by the CDC and the Texas Department of Health.

The containment of COVID-19 is of the utmost priority. Shannon’s administrative and medical professionals will continue to evaluate and respond to provide the best and safest care to the residents of Concho Valley. Across Shannon facilities and practices, we have conducted clinical trainings, continue to operate under rigorous infection control procedures and are closely monitoring supply of vital supplies like personal protective equipment.
