14th Annual Wall 4th of July Parade Starts at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 4

WALL, TX — The 2020 14th Annual Wall 4th of July Parade is still happening! The fun and festivities begin at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 4. This year’s grand marshals are the entire Wall High School Class of 2020.

This is where it may get interesting. The Class of 2020 was robbed of their most unique Wall High School tradition: Tractor Day. The tradition is on one day in the spring, Wall seniors can drive their tractor to school. If you are unfamiliar with Wall, a small town just east of San Angelo, this is a farming community. Wall residents farm thousands of acres nearby, producing cotton and soybeans. With “real deal” farmers, tractor day features more than your run-of-the-mill yard tractors. They ride to school in John Deeres!

Because of COVID-19, the Class of 2020 didn’t get a Tractor Day. Parade organizers want Wall seniors to know that to drive whatever each student had planned for Tractor Day, and meet parade organizers with their tractor at the Wall Coop Gin, and park next to the grand marshal star.

All Wall ISD teachers: are invited to ride on the “awesome” Star Float.

This is the 14th year for the annual Wall 4th of July Parade. All proceeds go to the Wall Volunteer Fire Department.

Here’s a great video of the event last year.
