San Angelo Symphony Postpones Upcoming Performance

SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Symphony was recently informed by Angelo State University that, due to the ongoing nationwide health crisis, we are unable to use our venue, the Junell Center, for the First Financial Bank Family Pops Concert featuring The Music of Queen.

In addition, as the safety of the San Angelo Symphony's audience, musicians, guest artists, staff, and volunteers is our top priority, the SASS is following the guidance of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the City of San Angelo, and Angelo State University by postponing the performance of The Music of Queen, which is currently scheduled for Saturday, April 18th, 2020. The Symphony will make best efforts to reschedule the concert at a later date. Tables and tickets that have already been purchased will be valid for the rescheduled event.

The San Angelo Symphony’s Dinner Series party, The Art of Music, will not be held on Thursday, May 7th, 2020. The party has been postponed and the Symphony will make best efforts to reschedule the event at a later date and possible location. Reservations that have already been purchased will be valid for the rescheduled event.

The Symphony will be in regular communication with updates about the Family Pops concert and event schedule as this is a rapidly evolving situation.

Effective today, the San Angelo Symphony office hours will be 11am-2pm, Monday-Friday. The Symphony staff will continue to conduct business in a safe environment including working remotely.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support. We wish you good health. As always, the safety and security of our patrons, musicians, and employees is our highest priority.
