Coffee with a Cop at ASU

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – College students and staff gathered with the San Angelo Police Department for Coffee with a Cop at Angelo State University Wednesday.

At the last gathering on October 3, Sergeant Coffman said, “We are trying to expand this event to where we can have it once every three months.” 

Administrators and students mingled with officers as they were walking by Starbucks in the University Center on campus to meet and greet the local law enforcement.

San Angelo first responders are having a Trunk and Treat Halloween event on Tuesday, October 30 from 6-8 p.m. at the ASU Baseball Stadium, 1600 University Ave. The SAPD and fire department among others will have treats and games for the kids.

The SAPD is also posting on their Facebook page every couple of days that the Public Safety Communications is hosting the testing for Emergency Services Dispatcher positions every two weeks. Interested applicants should apply online at https://g.co/kgs/jgP8CZ prior to test dates. Interviews and interview times will be held on test days. The tests will be held 8:30 a.m. at Concho Valley Workforce Solutions, 202 Henry O. Flipper Street. There are several positions available.
