Mega Millions Jackpot Reaches Over $500 Million

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Mega Millions jackpot is up to $522 million for the next drawing, which is tonight. It’s the second half-billion jackpot this year, after the $533 million jackpot in March, according to News West 9. The drawing will be held at 10:00 p.m. (CT)

The jackpot winner will match all five numbers and the Megaball number. The winner will have the option to take the lump sum of $303 million or have a payment plan to receive the money over the course of 30 years, eventually adding up to the jackpot amount.

Smaller cash prizes can be won if you match all five white balls you win $1 million, and matching four white balls and the Megaball wins $10,000.

There is approximately one in 259 million chance of winning the Mega Millions lottery, according to CBS News.

If there is no winner today, the jackpot will roll over again.
