Line-Up Announced for Rockfest 2017

SAN ANGELO,TX — A line-up of rock-and-roll musicians is coming with Rockfest 2017. It kicks off at Club Amnesia Nov. 3, doors open at 7 p.m. Organizer Nathan Vinson said, "My vision and goal was to give people in San Angelo that love rock music something fun and exciting to do while also giving exposure to all of these different local bands that have so much talent.  People always say that there isn't anything to do in San Angelo but I just want to show people that it's not true.  On any weekend there are always talented musicians playing somewhere in San Angelo and I just want to help people become aware of that.  I think that a rock festival featuring only local bands is unprecedented in San Angelo."

The line up for Rockfest 2017 is as follows:

The Tequila Brothers are an eclectic group of performers who combine a mix of everything music for an original sound.  "This local band is known for performing the best covers of songs in West Central Texas," said Sid Walker, when describing the band. They opened for Los Lonely Boys at the Hurricane Harvey Benefit concert at a packed Bill Aylor RiverStage.  The brothers Charles Reyes, Roy Macareno and Danny Moya promise to keep you dancing.

Heavy Richards is a heavy blues-rock explosion blending 70's arena rock glitz and 90's grunge grit for an amplified experience.  Pake Hough, Ace Allen, Lench Soto, and Ty Rameriz bring experience to the stage as well as tight rhythm, dual lead guitar and vocal harmonies from brothers Hough and Allen.

Mob Justice from San Angelo is a local favorite. They, George Carrasco, Kerry Glover, Aaron Lowe, Jason Stone, and Scott Clark, perform metal sounds hinting at their multi-influenced sounds from bands like Metallica, System of a Down, Slayer, Korn, 311 and more.

Weathered is a four-piece from the Big Country north of here. They promise to be a heavy rock experience you won't soon forget.  Flavored with hints of Drowning Pool, Breaking Benjamin, Papa Roach, Alice in Chains and Stone Temple Pilots, Adam Cordero, Tyler Riney, Mario Minjarez and Zeb Speary, can't wait to entertain you.

Drawing A Blank is a newer band in San Angelo and their vocalist/keyboardist, Nathan Vinson, is the organizer for the First Annual Rockfest.  The band enjoys making crowds happy with covers of anything to get them moving. Nathan, J.T. Vinson, Brandon Ramos, J.D. Boon, and Kyril Brewer create a distinct bluesy/grunge sound to make each song their own but still the music you love and recognize.
