The Details About the $1000 Costume Contest

SAN ANGELO, TX— October 28 the Post Apocalyptic Halloween Bash takes over The Deadhorse, 210 S. Chadbourne St., starting at 9 p.m.  Deadhorse staff suggests you there early because "Wasteland" drink specials begin at 8 p.m. with no cover. The Bash and costume contest is a tradition at The Deadhorse since 2007. They promise it is the place to celebrate your adult Halloween, culminating in a $1000 costume contest.

Performing that night are the Shotgun Rebels and Mob Justice. "They'll rock your face off," said 'Lil Dog, the Deadhorse manager. Having no face could be helpful in the costume contest. To enter the contest, dress up in your best costume and show up. Originality sometimes trumps complexity. We heard one year, a guy won the contest dressed up as a doctor. All he did was put on an interesting suit.

About Mob Justice

In 1990 George, Kerry and Scott along with Randy McCool and Frank Myric formed the band called Mob Justice. They played together for a short while before disbanding and going onto other things. Fast forward to 2016. Kerry and George reconnected and discussed plans to start jamming again. Drummer Greg Mohesky contacted George about putting a new project together. That started the wheels rolling. George contacted long time friend Aaron Lowe to play rhythm guitar. Aaron brought in his friend Jason Stone to play bass and the band was set. Due to unforeseen circumstances Greg had to bow out. After about a month of looking for a drummer they were in contact with Scott Clark and ready to rock! They threw some names around but decided to resurrect our old name and Mob Justice was reborn.
