San Angelo ISD Names 2 New Principals

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo ISD announced today two appointments for elementary school principals.

Mr. Darius Flowers will be the new principal at Bowie Elementary School. Flowers begins his new role July 1, replacing retiring principal Ms. Cindy Lee.

Flowers comes to Bowie after serving as assistant principal for Lake View High School. Flowers has 6 years of experience in the San Angelo ISD. He is a graduate of Lake View High School and holds a Bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and a Master’s degree from Angelo State University.

Alta Loma Elementary School welcomes Ms. Lauri Herndon as the new principal there for the upcoming school year. Ms. Herndon replaces the retiring principal Karen Clark also starting July 1.

Herndon comes to Alta Loma after serving at Lee Middle School as assistant principal. She has 23 years of experience as an educator, 22 of those years in the San Angelo ISD.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Angelo State University and a Master’s degree from Abilene Christian University.
