Snyder Double Stabbing Suspect Nabbed in Lubbock

 

SNYDER, TX – A suspect wanted for a fatal double stabbing that occurred in Snyder was arrested in Lubbock following a manhunt this weekend.

Snyder Police Department says officers responded to the report of a stabbing just before 8 p.m. on Friday at the Butcher's Block Eat's and Drink's restaurant in Snyder off of 25th St.

When officers arrived on scene, they discovered two victims suffering from apparent stab wounds.

One of the victims, identified as 49-year-old Scott Herrera, was transported to Cogdell Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead after succumbing to his injuries.

The second victim is not being identified, and an update on their current condition has not been released at this time.

Snyder PD said "with the assistance of multiple law enforcement agencies," their suspect, Francisco Lozoya Jr., 34, was arrested in Lubbock County.
