Perv Indicted for Possessing Lewd Images of Children When Cop Sees His Phone

ABILENE, TX — An Abilene man was indicted this week for possessing child pornography that was discovered during a traffic stop back in January of this year.

A Taylor County Sheriff's Deputy initially stopped Raymond Warren Bryant, 59, in January for a traffic violation, however during the stop the deputy was notified that Bryant was wanted for having an active warrant out for his arrest and Bryant was later arrested at the scene.

According to the indictment, During the stop the deputy allowed Bryant to call and notify his boss of his arrest.

While using his phone the deputy noticed multiple photos of naked females on Bryant's phone.

When questioned if the naked women seen in the photos were underage, Bryant claimed, "I don't know."

Indictment reports indicate that Bryant told the deputy that he got the photos off the internet and there may be other images of "questionable age nude females" on his phone.

On March 16, the Taylor County Sheriff's Office obtained a search warrant for Bryant's cellphone.

Investigators with the TCSO announced that over 20 images of naked children all between the ages of 7 and 17 were recovered during a search of Bryant's cellphone.
