New Joint Task Force Arrests Fugitive in Mexico

CIUDAD ACUñA, Coahuila, Mexico – A second target of U.S. Border Patrol’s Del Rio Sector has been apprehended through the “Se Busca Información” initiative.

“Se Busca Información” is an initiative in coordination with Joint Task Force West, and officials from the Government of Mexico, in which the Del Rio Sector seeks anonymous information on criminal targets who operate within our border communities.

Target No. 8 on Del Rio Sector’s “Se Busca Información” initiative was arrested on Aug. 5 by Mexican authorities in Ciudad Acuna, Coahuila. He was wanted for numerous criminal charges including Failure to Appear 3rd Degree Felony, Forgery of Financial Instrument/Elderly (nine counts) and DWI.

“Another successful apprehension has resulted from our close partnerships with agencies on both sides of the border,” said Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Austin L. Skero II. “Thanks to information received from members of our communities, this criminal who preyed on the elderly is now behind bars. We continue to seek your help in locating our remaining six targets.”
