Alleged Motorcycle Arsonist Arrested in San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Police Department released a statement Monday about the woman that was arrested for Arson on Saturday.

According to the San Angelo Police Department, on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at about 5:15 p.m., officers with the San Angelo Police Department responded to the 400 block of North Malone Street in regards to a civil disturbance. 

Officers arrived to discover a motorcycle had fire damage and that Melinda Ramirez was a suspect in a alleged arson. 

Officers detained Ramirez and the case was investigated by detectives with the San Angelo Police Department Criminal Investigation Division and investigators with the San Angelo Fire Department.  

Ramirez was ultimately charged with the Arson. 

She was then booked into the Tom Green County Jail. Ramirez remains in there in lieu of a $7,500 bond.
