ABILENE, TX – An elderly Abilene man was arrested Monday for allegedly sexually abusing a child for years.
According to KTXS, on June 1, deputies with the Taylor County Sheriff's Office arrested Paul Arthur Jonas, 63, for continuous sexual abuse of a child.
The charge came after the victim came forward and told deputies that she had been sexually abused by the man since 2012 when she was 6-years-old.
When told of the allegations Jonas only claimed to have only touched the child one time.
Jonas was booked into the Taylor County Jail and his bond was set at $100,000. He was released the following day.
