Two Teens Arrested After Holding Victim At Gunpoint

 

BIG SPRING, TX – Two teens have been arrested after they committed an armed robbery on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Big Spring Police Department, around 7:00 p.m. the victim, a 35-year-old Hispanic male, was walking to a friend’s house when a vehicle pulled up next to him on the 1500 block of Chickasaw.

The victim told police that one of the males in the car pointed a pistol while the other one was going through his pockets.

During the robbery, the victim attempted to grab the pistol and the struggle caused the gun to fire.  The victim ran away from the scene and when police located him, they found he had suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers located the suspect vehicle and suspects in the 1600 block of Avion later that night. Detectives with the Big Spring Police Department responded to the scene and during the investigation, authorities identified the suspects as 17-year-old Marcus Diago Pena and a 16=year-old juvenile male.

Both teens were arrested and charged with the Felony 1 offense Aggravated Robbery. 

This continues to be an ongoing criminal investigation and no further information is available at this time.
