San Angelo Man Indicted For Salacious Acts With a Minor

SAN ANGELO, TX –  A Tom Green County Grand Jury has indicted 43-year-old Raymundo Flores on child sex crimes. As previously reported on Feb, 18, officers with the San Angelo Police Department conducted their own investigation after Deputies with the Val Verde Sheriffs Office reached out to them regarding the continuous sexual assault of a child. When officers met with the juvenile victim's mother she told them of the assaults, and a forensic interview was performed with the victim. During the interview investigators learned that on January 31, Flores and the victim were lying on the couch covered waist down with a blanket when the mother told the victim to "get up and go to bed". When the victim refused to get up the mother walked over and removed the blanket that was covering the two, revealing the victims shorts and underwear were pulled down below the waist.

The mother then questioned the victim how many times "this" occurred and the victim responded that it was not the first time, and that she didn't say anything out of fear. When the defendant was questioned about his actions Flores stated that it was because the mother was not having sexual intercourse with him after her pregnancy in late October.

Flores was later arrested on Feb. 14 and was charged with sexual assault of a child. He was released on Feb.21  after making the $50,000 surety bond.

Since his Indictment, Raymundo Flores has been assigned an attorney and has been placed on the docket. His initial pre-trial begins on May 5, 2020.
