Carlsbad Man Indicted for Indecency With a Minor

 

SAN ANGELO, TX –  A 25-year-old Carlsbad man has been indicted for indecency with with a child. According to the indictment on Sept. 5, 2019, Kyle Doty began sending a 16-year-old victim explicit messages on Snapchat.

After the victim revealed her age to the defendant, Doty continued to send explicit messages including a video of him playing with himself. The victim then showed her father who eventually contacted authorities with San Angelo Police Department.

When officers arrived on scene they gained access to the messages sent between the victim and the defendant, and secured a copy of the video as evidence.

Police then issued an arrest warrant for Doty who eventually turned himself into police.

Doty is currently sitting in Tom Green County Jail awaiting an initial pre-trial set for May 5, 2020.
