Police Arrest Wanted Fugitive Perv Nearly a Year After He Was Indicted

GRAPE CREEK, TX – A Grape Creek Man was arrested almost a year after he was indicted for multiple charges that include continuous sexual assault of a child.

According to court documents, on March 7 2019, a Tom Green County grand jury indicted William Hernandez, 39, for continuous sexual abuse of a child, sexual assault of a child, and two counts indecency by sexual contact.

This indictment stems from incidents that started around March 2016 where Hernandez allegedly continuously sexually assaulted a child under the age of 14 for over a year. These assaults included rape, sodomy, and forced touching.

Five days after the indictment a warrant was issued for the arrest of Hernandez.

After nearly an entire year, law enforcement served the warrant on Feb. 25, 2020.

Hernandez was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail on those charges and was released after making a $250,000 bond.

He has a post indictment reporting hearing set for March 4 at 8:30 a.m.
