SAPD: Several Guns Stolen from Unlocked Vehicles

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Police Department has sent out a notice to the public Tuesday warning of a string of firearm thefts during the month of February. 

The following is a report of stolen firearms in San Angelo provided by the SAPD: 

  • 3300 block of Oxford. Method of Entry / No Force.
  • 200 block of North Oxford. Method of Entry / No Force.  
  • 2600 block of Regent Blvd. Method of Entry / No Force.  
  • Unit block of North Monroe Street. Method of Entry / No Force.  
  • 2100 block of Sul Ross St. Method of Entry / No Force.  
  • 200 block of North Bishop Street. Method of Entry / No Force.  
  • 1900 block of Raney St. Method of Entry / No Force.  
  • 2100 block of San Antonio Street. Method of Entry / No Force.

SAPD wants to remind the public that vehicles are not designed to be gun safes. Remember lock your doors and always remove firearms from you vehicle. 

Stolen weapons can lead to the harm of innocent people and children. SAPD asks to help them keep firearms from circulating San Angelo's black market. 

If you must leave them in your vehicle, please store them in a hidden and secured locked box.
