Dublin Man Indicted in Tom Green County After Chasing Down Two Men With a Pistol

SAN ANGELO, TX – A Dublin man has been indicted in Tom Green County after he chased down two men with a pistol and a large pitbull. Once deputies got on scene he also tried to get rid of the evidence.

According to the affidavit, on December 29, deputies with the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to FM 2166 for the report of a terroristic threat.

When the deputies arrived the man making the threats had already left the scene. The victims stated that they were in San Angelo and a man with a large pitbull in a white Dodge Stratus followed them. Once everyone arrived at the house the man got out of the car, pointed a pistol at them, and made multiple threats.

Deputies later spotted the car driving down highway 67 and pulled the Stratus over. The driver of the car was identified as 30-year-old Anthony Vivian.

During the traffic stop the deputies witnessed Vivian swallow a small plastic baggie. They then took him to Shannon where they determined he ingested methamphetamine.

While Vivian was in the hospital, deputies searched the vehicle and found black Ruger .380 underneath the center console.

Vivian was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and tampering with physical evidence. After a search of his criminal history, deputies discovered he had just been released from the TDCJ on felony charges of evading arrest with a motor vehicle. He was then charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

Vivian was booked into the Tom Green County Jail on December 14. He was indicted on these charges in February.

His bond is set at $75,000.

His initial pretrail is set for April 7 at 2:00 p.m.
