Witness in Carlsbad Murder Arrested for Crimes Against Children

SAN ANGELO, TX – Another arrest has been made from the Carlsbad murder that occurred on Saturday. The only thing unexpected about this arrest was that it was for possession of child pornography.

According to the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office, on February 20, deputies with the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office's Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant on the 400 block of E 37th street.

The warrant was issued for 23-year-old Adrian Villarreal. Villarreal was the man accused of buying the gun used in the murder of Sterling Mickey Riley. Before the arrest of the alleged murderer, Justin Ramirez, he and his girlfriend are accused of selling the murder weapon to Villarreal at the Walmart on South Bryant. During the initial investigation, Villarreal denied being at the Walmart and also denied buying the gun.

With a search warrant seeking information about the handgun, investigators found dozens of lewd images of children. It is unknown at this time if the murder weapon was recovered during the search.

Villarreal was arrested and charged with 12 counts of possession of child pornography. His bond is set at $240,000, or $20,000 per charge.

The Texas Rangers were involved during the entire incident.

Not sure why, but I'm curious if sheriff candidate Nick Hanna isn't already involved in trapping some of this plague infested vermin like the filthy rats they are? If there is anyone in law enforcement who can restore the Concho Valley to a modicum of decency, it is Mr. Hanna. Tom Green county voters should elect him in a landslide, if you care about law and order.

I'll bet Cheyenne can tell us something about the child porn as well as who she sold the gun to as well as anything else.
