Twice Deported Illegal Alien Arrested Again with Sawed Off Shotgun

ABILENE, TX – The Taylor County Sheriff’s office Thursday conducted a traffic stop that led the arrest of an illegal immigrant who was in possession of a sawed-off shotgun. The suspect had been reported back to Mexico on two separate occasions.

According to KTXS, the deputy conducted the stop after observing a late model Chevrolet pickup traveling in the 1300 block of Chestnut Street with an expired registration.

Police identified the driver as Jesus Alfonso Salazar-Rivera, 30, and was taken into custody after he was found in possession of the sawed-off shotgun, which is a prohibited weapon. He is also arrested for manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.

The Taylor County Sheriff’s office stated Salazar-Rivera may be facing federal drug and firearm charges. He is being held without bond on an immigration charge.

I'm sure he's learned his lesson. If they will just give him a ride home one more time, he probably won't come back looking for jobs no one else will do.
