Three Georgians Arrested in West Texas for Forging Checks

 

ABILENE, TX – The Abilene Police Department stopped three Suspects from Georgia from cashing fake checks Monday. 

According to the Abilene Police Department, on February 10, the Abilene Police Department arrested two males and a female from Georgia, suspected of trying to pass forged checks in Abilene. Police were notified by a south Abilene business of individuals attempting to cash forged checks. A detailed description was given and fraud detectives eventually made contact with the individuals at a south Abilene business while the group was attempting, once again, to cash a forged check.

Detectives contacted three individuals. A consent to search of the vehicle they were in revealed multiple pieces of identifying information from several victims including mail from multiple states, property which was discovered to have been stolen from a burglary in another state, marijuana and other drugs.

Brent Falcon, 35-years-of-age, was arrested and charged with Third Degree Felony Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, State Jail Felony Forgery of a Financial Instrument, and Second Degree Felony Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information and Class B Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana.

Clarence Tate, 26-years-of-age, was arrested and charged with Third Degree Felony Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, State Jail Felony Forgery of a Financial Instrument, Second Degree Felony Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information, and Class B Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana.

Rayana Tate, 23 years-of-age, was arrested and charged with Third Degree Felony Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, State Jail Felony Forgery of a Financial Instrument, Second Degree Felony Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information, Class B Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana, and Class A Misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance. All three are from Georgia.

They are being held at the Taylor County Jail.
