UDPATE: Family Violence Charges Dropped for "Basin Strong" Organizer
ODESSA, TX – After the tragic events involving the mass shooter on August 31 of last year, the Odessa community came together to host a “Basin Strong” benefit on January 16. The morning after the event Odessa Police arrested one of the co-chairs and organizers for family violence assault, Dan Henderson.
According to CBS7, Henderson was booked to the Ector County Jail on Friday morning. Police did not provide any details regarding the arrest, but informed local media that the arrest report would be released by Tuesday afternoon.
According to his LinkedIn page, Henderson is the founder and president of ‘Henderson,’ a Houston-based values-driven maker of oil and gas drilling equipment.
Basin Strong was a black-tie dinner event held at the Downtown Odessa Marriott and featured a Rick Trevino and Clay Walker concert. The money raised will benefit the victims of the mass shooting.
UPDATE February 6 10:46 a.m.:
According to Friedman & Feiger Attorneys at law, the charges for Henderson have been dropped as of January 22.
The attorney's office claims the reason for the charges being dropped was due to a complete misunderstanding between Henderson and the Officers of the Odessa Police Department.
