Former Night Club Operator Accused of Videoing Nude Woman with Hidden Camera

SAN ANGELO, TX -- A former Angelo State University Basketball Player and current operator of the nightclub "The Studio" has been arrested after a woman claims he recorded her naked with hidden cameras.

According to the affidavit signed by Justice of the Peace Eddie Howard, on December 2, the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office arrested Kiair Crouch, 24, for sexual coercion and for publishing or threatening to publish intimate visual material.

The arrest is coming after a woman came to the Angelo State Police Department concerned that intimate photos of her were going to be spread on social media.

She told officers that Crouch warned that if she would not have sex with him she would put out lewd photos of her on the web. She called his bluff and Crouch allegedly sent her the photos depicting the woman exposing herself.

The victim claims that she did not take the photos but instead the Crouch had cameras hidden inside of his bedroom.

Crouch was arrested for sexual coercion and for publishing or threatening to publish intimate visual material. He was booked into the Tom Green County Jail and no bond has been set at this time.

Admittedly, often the comments left on these articles are in poor taste - sometimes even cruel. While I'm not apt to lend a mindset bent on cruelty my support, commenter Big Daddy does have a point. It's very important to be cautious about who we choose to associate with, because the consequences will follow accordingly. The case given in this article involves a wrong against a young lady, but suppose it had been a young man?

It sometimes happens that, drawn in by the je ne sais quoi of some gangster girl, a man will ignore every crimson bandana colored flag in his face until the day she sticks a knife into it. His face, that is. Oh, you thought you were going to prove wrong the axioms of the illustrious Andre Romelle Young until you see that piece of your cheek flesh in the kitchen sink and smell that odd, meaty odor as your blood gushes out onto her good kitchen towels. Though half content to die there out of spite, your heart may be soothed by her sincere desire to escape a homicide conviction as she rushes you to the hospital. Yet, deep inside you suspect that this may put a damper on the relationship. Two and half weeks later, when she puts you out for the night over some trivial slight, you'll just take your things and leave for good.

I think we've all been there once or twice. You live and you learn.

Mr. Trammell, you began your article with something that's known as "syntactic ambiguity": "A former Angelo State University Basketball Player and current operator of the nightclub "The Studio" has been arrested after a woman claims he recorded her naked with hidden cameras."

Though many of us may connect the dots and eventually comprehend the intended message, some may be lead to speculate whether Mr. Crouch recorded the alleged victim as she was nude and in possession of hidden cameras, remain unclear as to who indeed was in possession of the hidden cameras, or if Mr. Crouch, himself, was naked while producing the recording.

I'd also cite the overall vagueness of the article in regards to the relationship between the two parties, as well as the circumstances which led up to the alleged crime.

Clarity is everything.
