Mother Sent to Prison for 90 Years After Letting Husband Molest Her Children

 

ODESSA, TX -- An Ector County Grand Jury sentenced a woman 90 years after they believed she did nothing to stop the sexual assaults of her children. 

According to CBS 7, on November 21, Amanda James was sentenced to 90 years for two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child. 

The charge originated in August of 2016 when Amanda and her husband where accused by the FBI for possessing child pornography. 

Charges escalated when the Bureau discovered the boys in the images where actually the sons of Amanda James and Stepsons to Daniel James. 

The assaults included times where Daniel would sexually assault the boys in exchange for favorable treatment. Text messages revealed that Daniel told Amanda “he is going to sodomize the boys in exchange for favorable treatment, such as them not receiving spankings and allowing them to go to the skate park and movies,” and " that if the children didn’t stop “bothering” him about going outside, he would sexually assault them." 

in one instance Amanda replied "Hehehe."

Amanda James was found guilty and was sentenced 45 years per charge that will run consecutively. She will be eligible for parole in 45 years. 

As for Daniel, his case is still pending.

The actual offender is still walking around free and probably offending more children. Pathetic is a word that comes to mind when i think of our judicial system.

Ninety years is a major sentence. Parole eligible in 45, she'll be 70-75 if and when she's released. Considering she was not the primary offender, but a willing facilitator, I'd expect life for her scumbag hubby.
For clarification purposes, adequate justice since we don't like to kill people who need to be killed.
