Criminal Flees from Senior Officer with Shopping Cart Full of Items

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- A senior patrolman chased down a criminal attempting to steal a shopping cart full of items from Walmart.

According to the SAPD, on November 18, a 53-year-old senior Bravo Company patrolmen was dispatched to the Walmart on 29th for the report of a shop lifter. 

The officer and the man with a full shopping cart spotted each other near 26th and Farr and the foot race began. 

The man made it several blocks before the officer caught him behind a house on the 100 block of W 25th. After being detained the man was identified as 29-year-old Jose Haro. 

He is charged with evading arrest, criminal trespassing, class B theft, and eight city warrants. His bond is set at $6,934.

This particular area is a hotspot for meth heads and meth dealers, the property crime there is also through the roof.

There used to be a company between Farr and MLK called "Patriot". Though they had a barbed wire fence on their back lot, the local cucarachas were always scaling it and making off with various items.
