Four Pounds of the Reefer Seized During San Angelo Traffic Stop

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A Tom Green County Sheriff's Deputy found over four pounds of marijuana during a routine traffic stop in San Angelo on Friday.  

According to information from the TGCSO, Sheriff's Deputy Rachelle Farmer conducted a routine traffic stop in the 1100 block of South Abe on a 2014 Dodge Dart driven by Jonathon Perez.

The Sheriff's office says Sterling Vann Leverett, 35, was the passenger and was charged with  possession of marijuana between 4 oz and 5 lbs.  His bond was set at $25,000.00.

Perez, 29, the driver was charged with possession of marijuana  less than 2 oz and his bond was set at $1,000.

During the roadside interview several indicators of possible criminal activity were observed.

A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and approximately four and one half pounds of hydroponic marijuana was discovered in the passenger compartment of the car.

Both the driver and one passenger were arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail without incident.
