Victim Identified in Officer-Involved Shooting

 

SWEETWATER, TX – Jordan Waldrop, 34, has been identified as the man that was shot and killed in an officer-involved shooting Wednesday night.

According to KTXS, the incident occurred after 11:30 p.m. when officers responded to a shots fired call and Waldrop confronted the police. Shots were fired and resulted in the death of Waldrop. Two officers of the Sweetwater Police Department were involved in the shooting and are currently on paid leave.

The incident is being investigated by the Texas Rangers and further details will be released as they become available.

Waldrop’s family asks for privacy at this time.
