Early Morning Shooting Hospitalizes 20-Year-Old

 

BIG SPRING, TX -- Police are investigating a shooting that occurred outside of a woman's home this morning. 

According to the Big Spring Police Department, on October 9 at around 4:20 a.m. officers were dispatched to a residence in South Eastern Big Spring for the report of shots fired. 

When the officers arrived, they found a 20-year-old Hispanic woman who had been shot outside of the house. 

EMS was quickly rushed in and the woman was taken to  Scenic Mountain Medical Center for treatment.

Officers later spoke with the female victim who informed officers she was shot outside of a residence in the 600 block of E. 16th by a known person. 

The Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene.

Detectives are actively investigating this incident and expect an arrest to follow.
