Deputies Discover More Than a Thousand Pounds of Pot in an Abandoned Car

BREWSTER CO, TX -- During routine patrol of Highway 90 Saturday, a deputy with the Brewster County Sheriff's Office discovered a massive amount of marijuana in an abandoned Ford Escape.

According to the BCSO, on September 14, a deputy was patrolling Highway 90 and spotted an abandoned SUV on the side of the road.

When they stopped to see if anyone needed held, they found that the vehicle was packed with bundles of marijuana.

After totaling it up, the Sheriff says that they confiscated 1,127 pounds of marijuana.

The driver was not found, but BSCO has a suspect after a wallet was found in the SUV.
