SAN ANGELO, TX -- A Tom Green County Grand Jury indicted two people in August for manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

According to the San Angelo Police Department, on June 10 the SAPD Street Crimes Division and the Patrol Division executed a search warrant that stated Matthew Wofford, 29, and Mariah Marquez, 24, were in possession of heroin.

The warrant, signed by Justice of the Peace J.P McGuire, noted that the two were in a hotel room at the Inn of the Conchos on N Bryant.

When police arrived they found the two in the hotel room with a number of illegal items. SAPD says "investigators located and seized a quantity of suspected heroin, methamphetamine, U.S. currency and an assortment of drug paraphernalia associated with narcotics trafficking."

The two are still in the Tom Green County Jail and their initial pre-trial begins October 10 and 2:00 p.m.
