SAPD Warns of Scammers Pretending to be Police

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The San Angelo Police Department are warning people of a phone scam pretending to be them. 

According ot the SAPD, there is an individual or group of individuals who are calling people and saying they are police. 

"The San Angelo Police Department is NOT soliciting funds by phone," said SAPD. "Should you receive a call from anyone representing themselves as a San Angelo Police Officer, hang up, block the number, and make a report here."

Remember if anyone you do not know calls you and ask for your information or money do not give it to them. Instead hang up the phone.
