Fight in Notorious Bar Leads to Gun Shots at Local Gas Pumps

SAN ANGELO, TX — A man was arrested Saturday after chasing down two people who caused a bar fight.

According to court documents, on August 17, the San Angelo Police Department was dispatched to the Shell Station for the report of an assault victim.

When police arrived, they found a man holding two people on the ground at gun point. Police immediately calmed the situation and identified all of the people. The two that were being held at gun point were Maria Gallicchio, 54, and her son 33-year-old Martin Galvan. The one who was pointing the gun was 21-year-old Jordan Bergeron.

After the field investigation, police determined that the incident began at the Giz & Hums Billiards bar when Gallicchio allegedly instigated a fight between an unknown female and Galvan. During an angry verbal exchange, Galvan allegedly struck the female with a beer bottle.

The two then took off from the bar in their vehicle and Bergeron decided to chase after them. They drove westbound down Sherwood Way and noticed that they were being followed near the Johnson St. intersection.

The two tried to turn on Johnson but Bergeron pit-maneuvered their vehicle and spun them out in front of the gas pumps at the Shell Station.

Bergeron then got out and fired a shot at the vehicle. He demanded the two get on the ground and he waited until police arrived.

Although Bergeron said he did not try to strike Galvan with the gunshot, he was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked into the jail but released the same day on a $25,000 bond.

Galvan was arrested and booked for a parole violation. He is still currently in the Tom Green County Jail.

It's not. I live in that neighborhood. I've never been inside but it's a pretty quiet place.

A mother goes to a bar with her son or vise-versa. The mother starts trouble with another female in the bar and the son then hits that female with a bottle. These two fine folks then run away like roaches. They are chased and apprehended by Bergeron who now has an assault with a deadly weapon charge hanging over him.
The only question I have is ..... can we start a "go fund me" for Bergeron?

Since when was Giz 'n Hum's notorious? It's actually a pretty quiet neighborhood hangout free of the usual riff raff, violence and drunks seen in other parts of town.

I agee with CGM5. Bergeron helped the police apprehend a parolee who apparently needed to go back to prison

... been a place to play pool and hang out with friends but ... it's never been "Notorious " ! The building that Fuz & Hums is in was a pool hall back in the early 70's when I was in High school and it was a great place to hang out with your friends after school and on weekends and it was called Eagles then. The neighborhood was always a good area and I had lots of High school friends that lived in that neighborhood ... so whomever wrote this headline for this story... I have to say they don't know what the H.E. double hockey sticks... they're talking about!

..to match your White Knight's body armor?

Mr. Bergeron, a week from now these two hens will be at it again, over who f'ed who's "vato", or "who be hatin'", you're little stunt didn't benefit you in the least, and does even less for those of us who stand up you trigger happy "carriers", who never seem to be with your trusty weapons, in the right places, during the right situations.
