Meth, Gun, and Missing Teen Found After Wrong Way High Speed Chase on I-20

 

TYE, TX -- A missing Juvenile was found yesterday after police chase down the wrong way of I-20. 

According to KTXS, on July 21, an Officer with the Tye Police Department noticed a Chevy Silverado that he new was in connection with a missing juvenile. 

The officer then pulled the truck over, but when the officer got out of his patrol vehicle the driver of the Silverado took off and the chase began. 

Officers chased the truck through Abilene and Jones County before eventually circling back into Tye. Tye Police say that the driver "went the wrong way on I-20 putting multiple lives in danger."

The chase finally came to a stop and police found two males and the missing juvenile girl. They also found methamphetamine and and firearm. 

The driver, 23-year-old Issac Rodriguez, was charged with evading arrest/detention with a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance (meth), and unlawful carry of a firearm by a felon.

The juvenile was released into the custody of Child Protective Services.

This case is still under investigation and more charges could be filed.
