UPDATE: Police Find Body of 18-Month-Old in Landfill

 

DALLAS, TX -- An 18-month-old was reported missing yesterday.  

On July 10 at around 12:30 a.m. Cedrick Jackson, 1, was last seen. 

This morning an amber alert was issued for the boy. 

Cedrick is described as a black male, 30-inches tall, weighing 20 pounds, with black braided hair and brown eyes.

Police say the suspect who may have the child is a black male in his mid 40's. He is 5'7" tall and weighs 170 pounds.

UPDATE 11:02 a.m: 

According to KTXS,  Dallas Police sources have told CBS DFW that they believe a missing toddler that is the subject of an ongoing Amber Alert is dead.

The sources tell CBS DFW that the boy's death has not been confirmed, but authorities are currently searching the McCommas Bluff Landfill in south Dallas and other locations for the toddler’s body.

UPDATE 2:14 p.m.: 

According to the J.D Miles from CBS DFW, Police have recovered the body of Cedrick from a landfill.
