Trial Rescheduled for One Part of Father-Son Duo Caught on Camera Shooting Neighbor

ABILENE, TX -- The trial for one part of the Abilene father-son duo accused of shooting and killing their neighbor over a mattress has been rescheduled, KTXS reports.

Michael Theodore Miller was charged with the murder for the September shooting death of Anthony Howard. Jury selection was slated to begin on Monday for his trial, but has since been postponed. A new date has not yet been set, according to the report.

Police say Miller and his father, Johnnie, shot and killed Howard over a mattress in the alley behind the Miller's house in the 4300 block of Don Juan St. They were arrested and released originally on a $25,000 bond.

A cell phone video of the incident was obtained and aired by KTXS. Following the airing of the video, the duo was re-arrested and their bond was raised to $250,000.

Johnnie Miller is scheduled to face trial on Aug. 5.
