Police: Abilene Teen Threatened to Shoot and Kill Business Owner

 

ABILENE, TX -- An Abilene teen is accused of threatening to shoot and kill a business owner on Monday.

Nyawenda Fikiria, 17, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, KTXS reports.

Police say Fikiria walked into the International Market in the 1000 block of N. Willis St. around 4 p.m. on Monday. There, he pulled a gun and threatened to shoot and kill the business owner.

The suspect was not around when police arrived.

Surveillance video confirms the victim's story, records obtained by KTXS show. Fikiria was later arrested at his apartment complex.

He is in the Taylor County Jail on a $36,000 bond.
