Police Say Abilene Man Punched Hotel Clerk in the Face During Robbery

 

ABILENE, TX -- An Abilene man was arrested over the weekend after police say he punched a hotel clerk in the face during a robbery.

According to court documents obtained by KTXS, this past Saturday, James Edward Baucham, 62, walked into the Civic Plaza Hotel after 1:00 a.m. and demanded the clerk to hand over money.

The clerk said no and Bauchman walked behind the desk and punched the clerk in the face, police say.

Bauchman was booked into the Taylor County Jail on a robbery charge and a $15,000 bond.
