Two Arrested in Drug Bust at Local Hotel; Police Find Meth, Heroin

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The San Angelo Police Department arrested two people as part of the execution of a search warrant Thursday afternoon.

According to a press release, the warrant was issued by Justice of the Peace J.P. McGuire and said Matthew Wofford, 29, and Mariah Marquez, 24, were in possesion of heroin at the Inn of the Conchos on North Bryant.

Members of the San Angelo Police's Street Crimes Division and the Patrol Division executed the search warrant and found the two in the hotel room. Police said during a search of the room, "investigators located and seized a quantity of suspected heroin, methamphetamine, U.S. currency and an assortment of drug paraphernalia associated with narcotics trafficking."

Both suspects were charged with a second degree felony of manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group one and a state jail felony charge of possession of controlled substance penalty group one. Jail records show that Wofford also violated a promise to appear for no/defective reflection on bicycle.

Marquez has not had her bond set at this time. Wofford's bond is $972 according to the Tom Green County Jail roster.
