Man Arrested for Posing as 14-Year-Old to Try and Solicit a Minor

ABILENE, TX -- A man was arrested on Wednesday after an investigation by police found he was posing as a 14-year-old to try and solicit a minor.

On May 7, Abilene Police Department started an investigation against Noah Byrn, 18, after family members of the victim contacted police.

Byrn was using a phone app and was telling children that he was 14-years-old. He met with the victim and the parents in person and convinced them that he was the age he said he was.

According to KTXS, the parents did not question his age until the child was injured in an altercation. Police arrested Byrn on May 15 and was charged with solicitation of a minor.

His bond is set at $45,000.
