Daycare Worker Arrested For Continuous Sexual Abuse of a 4-Year-Old

SAN ANGELO, TX -- A daycare worker has been arrested on Sunday for continuously sexually abusing a child while at work.

On May 5, officers with the San Angelo Police Department arrested 20-year-old Cristian Esquivel after a child made an outcry about being abused by him.

The child stated that it started on February 14 when Esquivel touched the child underneath her clothes while at the daycare.

The final time that the abuse occurred was on April 18. The child told officers that on this day Esquivel used his hand to touch the child's buttocks underneath the clothes.

According to the affidavit, the child was only four years of age.

Esquivel is charged with continuous sex abuse of a child under the age of 14 and is currently in the Tom Green County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
